A visit to Baticrom Halal Food

Last night, out of curiosity,  my husband and I went to Akabaneminami to pay a 'special visit' to Batricom Halal Food store. Most of the Muslim communities in Japan must have heard about it from the internet/other Muslim friends that you can order halal food and products through its website and your order will be delivered on your door step on the next day - and that's for almost all of Japan.

We took the train from Sakuragicho and stop at Akabane Station. The train we took was a local service, hence it stops at every station which is about 25 stations.

First of all, please know that the map shown on the website is WRONG.

Their (kejap it kejap they, hentam sajalah) address is Diamond Building, 2-16-11 Akabane Minami, Kita ku, 115-0044, Japan....so they should be in Akabane Minami...

Minami (kanji 南, hiragana みなみ) is a Japanese word meaning "south" so it should be at the South part of Akabane.

So my dear friends, this is how their map should look like.

A is the location of Baticrom and B is Akabane Station. Can you see the yellow Japanese guy on the map? I mean, this guy:

Okay, drag that guy to point A and he will take you to see all the buildings around point A through 360-degree street-level imagery...and you can see this...

TARAAAAAAA!

We told the shopkeeper that the direction on the map is incorrect and apparently he didn't aware of that because the company hired other people to do the website for them. Okay... foine..

Anyway, these are among the things I've seen there. Please know that they bought and own the whole 3-storey (or 4?) building. And yes, the mamak restaurant beside Baticrom is theirs too.

Things that I bought last night:

Pandan Leaves to make Nasi Lemak.

Curry leaves, Bunga Kantan (Ginger Flower/Torch Ginger Bud) to make laksa, beef patties and minced meat.

Atta Flour  and Ghee to make Chapati, Kuah Pajeri and also obviously, fried chicken flour.
My advice to you, better buy online unless you are staying near Akabane and if the total cost of the train tickets to go there are less than 1200 Yen (as their delivery charge is 1200 Yen).

Sekian, terima kasih.
